Good news!!!

Even thought it is a holiday and they are usually no inserts in the Sunday newspaper. Following the rules are Smart Source and Red Plum but to everyone's exited surprise...
THERE WILL BE A P&G WORTH $83.

Find the list of coupons on The Frugal Burgher

Is the Value Pack really a value?

Ever since I could remember everyone has always said buy in bulk it is cheaper that way.
This is a myth that should be dispelled NOW!!
Companies often times don't tell you that it more expensive and sometimes if it is a perishable item it will expire before you get to it.
(I hate, hate, hate money being thrown away).
If it is leftovers make garbage soup. (look for in Parents in college tab.)
Add some of that about to expire stuff and buy intelligently.
Nathan or Mr. Coupon (from weusecoupon.com) as he is better known will show us at Krogers how to buy smarter without the value packs.
Go Mr. Coupon!!!

Feeling like eating something new and exotic?

Try some food from my homeland...Puerto Rico!!!
Now I don't usually post on recipes because there are plenty of sites that do that.
But I did see that more families are trying new things with their taste buds.
So, I offer a rarely seen insight to Puerto Rican cuisine (in English that is).
Pick one, it have everything from desserts to appetizers, veggie recipes and more.
I love them all. Reminds me of home: waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and the beach.
(by the way PR is a US commonwealth, so it is part of the US and Americans don't need a passport to go there.  Just if you needed a good vacation idea.)

Why do I have those links at the bottom I keep referring to?

My favorite links at the bottom of the page are there to help you. These have proved to be most useful to me in my researching.

Southern Savers was recommended to me by my friend Jamie Knickerbocker. This site is great because it gives you a list per store and these list you can print out as your shopping lists and save money. When you sign up these list will be sent directly to you inbox and there is more to talk about, but you must see it your self.

Weusecoupons.com is a forum for couponers to talk about deals in your area. Get tips, see different articles, see others opinions about couponing, and more.

Tom and Sophia Savers, sweet sweet people. I met them through weuecoupons.com saw that they had a blog and got inspired to do one of my own. She is a college senior herself and has helped me tremendously with my blogs (and grammar. lol)

Swagbuck is mentioned in my cool stuff tab more in depth. Basically it is a search engine/ site that the more you use it the more points you get and the more points you get, the more awesome stuff you can trade them in for. Like gift cards, to amazon to buy that new electronic you have been dying to have...or purse.

The People

The most AMAZING thing about this journey so far is how sweet the people are in the couponing world. It truly can become a community. Many think that couponers are these selfish, inconsiderate, shelf clearing, hoarders....WRONG!!! While some will use a good thing for bad (as with anything) other truly are different.
I joined the We Use Coupons site and all of the people I have met there and in other places as a result of friends recommendations are really sweet. They are willing to work with you and help you as you start and truly want you to have a success story with couponing. They will teach you the ethics of couponing, debate on the "so- called gray areas" and give you tip, suggestions and critiques.

Special thanks to Tom and Sophia at Tom and Sophia Savers (link below) for your help and your deals.
These are also college students.
